I did an oil change on my 748 following the "Normal procedure"
I replaced the screen tube but had an oil weep due to the existing washer fitted by the previous owner not being an original part apparently.
So I removed the tube first this time to replace the washer with a genuine one.
Naturally most of the oil gushed out, but the interesting thing was, so did some metal
that had been lurking in the gallery (probably for years)
So is it a better bet to remove the screen tube first when draining to "power flush" the gallery and then the sump plug?
