Refinishing brake resevoir covers 749/999

I've done this twice, but this time after nearly two years it really didn't need it...cabin fever I guess. This will work on other models too!
Just remove the covers and be sure to put a towel under the reservoir to prevent spills. I use a paint stripper to remove the paint..the brush on gel stuff. After removing all the paint, be sure to really get the paint removed from the lettering pockets, give the covers a good scrub w/ some soapy water and dry. Get a piece of card board and then ball up some masking tape and put it on the bottom of each cover. The point is to get the cover up off the card board so you can spray it evenly all over. Hanging it from the ceiling works well too. A couple of coats w/ Rustoleum gloss black and your set. They come out nice and it's cheap. They will however need a refinish when the brake fluid seeps, but it some thing to do on a crumy winter day!

Spring is but a month or so away! Hang in there!
