Optimum Shift Points

I just posted this in the Superbike section but it also belongs here for future reference.

Sport Rider magazine did a great article about optimal shifting points based upon effective torque to the ground. Check out http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0402_art/index.html.

They provided a spreadsheet to try it yourself so I input the dyno data for a 749s from Moto One and the spreadsheet shows the results.

The graphs in the spreadsheet will also show you speed by RPM in each gear so it might help with calculating optimum gearing for racing or trackdays.

Moderators, a little help: This forum doesn't seem to let me upload an Excel file, can you help?

If anyone knows how to do it I'll post the Excel file. Or PM me with your email.

Cheers,
Marc

You need to pack the file using winzip before uploading it.
