3-phase/996 regulator solved - Replacement identified

I had problems with my regulator some days ago. After a long search i found a regulator for a yamaha xt 600, the only difference is that instead of 7 wires (3 yellows, 2 reds and 2 blacks) it only had 5 ( 3 yellows, 1 red and 1 white). After looking over the schematic of the bike I found out that both red and black wires come from the same place in the wiring. Just cut the plug and solder both red and both black wires together. Problem solved and cheap. Works like a charm. I hope this will be usefull to users in this forum.

Great for three phase system, what about a crossover for single phase? That is where most of the electrical problems with Ducati's are. Nevertheless, thanks for the info. The single phase are the older SBKs like the 916 with two yellow wires instead of three coming from the stator/generator left side engine.
