Correct XX9 Battery
When my battery died, I did like most of us and began shopping for a battery. Serch after search led to many options of good batteries, but there was always an issue. Seller A had this great battery that was light weight, all this-that-and-the-other but didn't fit in the original box. You XX9 owners know we have zero room for batteries that require modification to fit properly. Seller B's got this awesome battery but it's a lower voltage so "make sure you keep it on a tender for proper charge". Goooood Grief people!!!!!! Local shops never list the correct battery and even calling the supplier turned up nothing. Well, after much searching and shopping I found it!!!!
A bone stock, exact dimension, proper amp/voltage for the XX9. No rigging, modifications, tenders required!! Joy!!
Interstate CYT12B-BS $110 OTD!!
This battery is also sold under the Yousa name brand (even though Interstate and Yousa are one and the same) with the exact same part number, but expect to pay about $40 more for the Yousa name brand....or at least that's what my searches turned up.
Outside of the dealserships, none of the shops have the correct number listed in any catalogs that we could find. If this ends up being the case, don't argue with the guys at the shop. Just tell them to order you the part number you asked for and say "have a nice day".
Hope this helps you guys out!!

I looked around too and there seem to be a lot of sources. It seems to come in two basic variations, a 7.6 lb version and a 9 lb version. Prices are all over the map.

Hi Galaxy,
I got my battery for my 749 from Brian, at http://www.firedogracing.com/
He's in Sac, so you could ask him to order it for you, and you could get it from him, or just have him ship it.
He offers a discount to locals, I believe Kneeriders, and 530riders.com.
I've bought a few things from him, nice guy.

I called them yesterday and was quoted "$124.99". I told them I heard it was "$84.99" and was told "No, that's only for the older generation bikes like the 748, etc." I even said, "Well my buddy (Mitico) bought it for his 749 for $85" and they said they didn't know how that was possible...
