Red frame touch-up paint on the cheap
I know, there have been endless posts here about what touch-up paint to use, but most people seemed to conclude that finding a perfect match was difficult.
I had some chips in the paint on my frame- late model bright red Ducati red frame. I would never use touch-up paint on body parts (fairing, etc), but the frame seems fair game. I found great, inexpensive red touch up paint at Autozone that matches the red frame paint EXACTLY, and it cost about $6.00.
It's made by Dupli-Color, and it's called Scratch Fix 2 in 1, "TY 01560, Super Red II 3E5, Toyota". Yep, Toyota paint on your frame. You won't be sorry. It's thin, so go with several light coats to fill in the chips. I'll bet it's even thin enough that you could spray it with an airbrush for a super-pro finish.
Here's a picture of the container:

I had a chip on my 748s under the nose. Finally found this paint and it matches perfectly!

Colour-coded turtlewax does the trick as well, but only for minor scratches.
And it's not that cheap...

FYI - I just bought a windscreen for my '04 Monster and the red was the wrong shade, so thankfully I found this thread.
Picked up a can of the "Toyota Super Red II" and a can of clear.
The match looks to be about as close as you can get!
Thanks!

Great bit of info I've tried a few different paints and haven't found anything half decent. Thanks for that I'll have to see if it's available in Oz.
Nice bike in your post!!!
