Cortech Scarab Winter Glove

A while back I (finally!) bought some new gloves in the hope that I might extend my riding a bit in spring and fall. These will (until next summer) replace my 15 year old Olympia leather/Kevlar unlined gloves that have served me well but are worn/stretched beyond use now.

No shops around me stock anything not marketed to squids (in other words, Mechanix gloves) so I have to do my shopping online and hope what I choose is what I want.

Long story short, these gloves fit me perfectly ('true to size'). Maybe a bit 'short' in the thumb/index finger web but I think they will stretch the small amount needed and be perfect perfect.

They are also just heavy enough to wear in sub 50 degree weather (at 70+ mph wind chill) and are really warm. Light enough to wear in 65 degree weather as well.

No stupid zigzag graphics just black.

Not all that stiff (already loosened up some). Very comfy. Nice gloves for not a lot of $. They are armoured too.

This where my search started to pick up steam:

I got them from Motorcycle Superstore. Here is the page for the gloves:

I just bought new warm weather gloves and remembered that I hadn't updated this thread. Here goes:

The gloves fit really nicely from the start and loosened up nicely after a few hundred miles over a couple of rides. The coldest ride I took was in the low 40's and my hands/fingers stayed warm enough to not think about them. My old gloves (strictly summer) would have had me head for home after an hour of agony in the same temps so this was really nice.

Going through the same lack-of-choice-locally as when I bought these, it took me until last week to finally get a warm weather pair. For better or worse, I haven't ridden much at all this year. As such, I haven' had to endure the winter gloves in really high heat. The hands do get a bit hot when the ambient is over 70 but not unbearable.

So, I am really happy with these for cool/cold weather use. Great glove overall for me. That is all.

EDIT!!: Duh, like a tard I left out what size I got in my original post. They are size L.
