Question Helmet Cam?

Dear All,

I am just beginning a search for a good helmet cam. While I will be using it to capture video of a particular route, my primary needs are academic-based (I am a Renaissance History Professor who will be using the captured video in a digital humanities project). The cam. will be used at low speeds in Florentine streets (and heaven forbid... while on a scooter... but I will at least be using it in Italy... and, I confess that I still love to ride scooters as my first two wheels were a little Italian 50cc.).

Any advice on a cam. that will capture good quality video that is reasonably priced (I'm on a tight grant budget)? I am not concerned with sound as this will be engineered later.

I know that this is technically a gadget related post, but I thought that more members would see it, if I posted it here. I beg for the moderators' indulgence

Thanks in advance.

Best,
1527

+1 on the Gopro Hero, beats the last two cameras he has had.

Thanks to both of you for the advice and sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to the MS.

I went with the GoPro and it worked perfectly.

Best,
