suomy vandal
I just picked up a suomy vandal.
Fit is great and the wind noise less than the Arai Profile. Lighter helmet also.
Easy to change the shields, unlike the Arai. Even though Arai has numerous videos on shield changing and it isn't that hard to do, just every time I change them I finger print up the shield and have to clean it once installed.
The Suomy has great ventilation with easy to operate vents.

My Suomy Vandal (Bayliss model) is a really nice helmet. As nice as any Arai I've owned. Not sure it's an X-11 but a nice helmet at a fair price.

not sure if its your cup of tea, but after some digging i was able to find oem ultra tech hydrophobic visors for the vandal.
if you like the spec-1r look, definitely give them a go.
i have the clear iridium, and i really like the slight accent and tint it offers during the day and high visibility it offers at night. definitely a great all-day visor.

I too would highly recommend the Suomy Vandal. I just bought one to replace my old Suomy Gunwind, which was 6+ years old. The improvements made on Vandal are immediately noticeable in every respect: weight, fit, finish, clarity of visor, less wind noise. Very much worth the price and Made in Italy!

Does the Vandal work well for an Intermediate Oval head shape? Like a Arai Vector for reference... I have never seen any at a local dealer...

Lucian, my other helmet is the Arai Profile which is for an oval head. The
Vandal seems to fit me even better.

The only downside to my Vandal is the visor release system. I am not a fan of a metal "screw" screwing into a plastic fitting. In my experience it is all too easy to trash the plastic fitting. And yes, I've done it once. Had to buy a new fitting.
