Have older Sidi boots in need of replacement. Track only. Vortice Air, by the name, presumably offers up better ventilation. What are the pros for the straight Vortice. Any difference in protection between the two?
from what I have seen the only difference is that the airs have small perf on the top of the foot. I dont really feel much airflow from the perf. but the vents you can open and close move alot of air.
I have a pair of these as it can get quite hot over here. I would concur with army748, the vents are good but the perforations don't seem to do much in comparison with a older pair of Oxtar fully perforated race boots that I have (which are absolutely fabulous in hot weather) but have 2 draw backs, one being the are too big and the second being they are the wrong color (the latter is a chick thing) I know. They were a present.
Otherwise the Sidi's seem to be great boot. I might well buy another non perforated pair when my Alpine Stars die.
