Inexpensive mesh overpants recommendations?

I'm looking for some inexpensive ($100 range) 3-season overpants that can handle temps in the 50-100+ range, which is 85-90% of the year in Austin. I've already got a great pair of cold weather overpants. Also, I wouldn't mind a little more protection than what my Diamond Gussets offer.

The ICON Hooligan 2 Mesh pants seem to be my best bet from what I've seen, but I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. Also, if you have the Hooligan 2s I'd love to get your impressions.

I've been using the AGV Sport Solare pants. They work well in the hot weather. A bit light in the cold...I use a pair of surgical scrubs underneath during the cold...just enough to keep the chill away. They aren't an over pant though...so something thicker than scrubs may be a bit tight!

The pants seem to be of a decent quality. Padding in the hip area, decent knee protection. Good zippers and velcro. I'd definitely buy AGV Sport again.

mlukason - I considered the AGVs until I saw they weren't an overpant and that they fit snuggly at the thighs. Plus I saw a video product review of them on a vendor site that said they're not recommended as an overpant.

I really want to stick with something that's specifically called overpants so I can wear my work slacks underneath. That way I don't have to pack my slacks and then change into them at work.
