Jackets: Dainese Vs Vanson
Has any one here got both jackets and can tell me if they size the same?

you really have to try them.
I have an off-the-rack Vanson and it's really cut for a wider american frame, with a little bit of belly. Not for SLIM PEOPLE.
Dainese is purely slim italian. Period. End of story. (I've tried many)
My size 44 Vanson with armor/backprotector is now too big for me. I'm selling if you're interested. PM me.
For the next jacket, I'm debating a custom Vanson, or an off-the-rack Dainese which matches my body type perfectly.

I have both. I have a 2 piece Dainese suit that I normally just wear the jacket. I also have a perforated Vanson for hot summer days. The Vanson is definitely cut roomier.

I'm a 42 Dainese and could squeeze in to a 40 but my weight has been up and down so a 42 is safer.44 would be too large

I have had several Dainese jackets but never a Vanson. Of course, being up here in Vanson country I know quite a few people who have Vansons. One of the things I've heard is that Vansons take forever to break in and then last forever. I don't have the patience for that so I've always had Dainese and Alpinestars. Never had a complaint or disappointment with either. Back around 2002 I bought my son his first jacket, a Dainese Tatoo. If I could find a used one in a 54 I'd have it in a minute.

Gee, I have 2 Vanson's (size 46), and a Dianese (size 46), I find the Dianese a little tighter in the shoulders, and looser in the body (stomach) area.

My Vanson fits like a second skin. I bought it a little loose and kept drinking beer until I fit it perfectly.

I can tell you that if you get your Vanson wet, the red dye from your shoulders will bleed all over your clothes, and Vanson customer services will tell you very politely to get fucked.
Ask me how I know.
