I have plans to expand my two-car garage but until then I've been walking Anatra (my 748) back and forth each time I ride her to park her in front of my sedan. My garage queen sports car owns the other bay
A buddy turned me on to a motorcycle dolly from Harbor Freight. I just picked one up from them for $85 (including tax).
It took me about 1/2 hour to assemble and works pretty well.
I just put down the chocks, remove the rear stop pin and roll the bike up on it, replace the pin, raise the chocks then push the bike around at will.
It's not a perfect design. The wheels trade off easy direction changes and smoothness for a low profile that makes it easier to roll the bike on and off the dolly.
With the weight of the bike on the dolly it's difficult to get both chocks down since rotating one pushes the other up so I am just using one chock to roll the bike off it.
Without the bike on the dolly they both go down and stay down easily. It's more important to have them both down when you're rolling the bike on to it.
All in all though, it works great for $85 and I don't have to maneuver her back and forth or worry about getting too close to the wall to put down the stand (let alone having the fairing or mirrors bump the wall). Here are some pictures:
