Sidi boots, how to waterproof Lorica?

Does anyone know how to protect or waterproof Lorica the synthetic leather that Sidi uses?

Can you apply Silicone products without fear of damage?

You should be able to use any good spray on water repellant that's made for real leather.

when it rains I stop by convenience store and get a pair of plastic bags, works every time!

I've used spray on water proofing on my SIDI MTB and road bike shoes.
Does not seem to bother them.
