Tire Rack Review ;)

Well, what do you guys think of my tire rack?

Going for a nice Saturday morning ride out to Ducpond to get my new Power Pure's mounted and ready to go for the 600 mile ride to Indy in less than 2 weeks!

I am quite pleased with it. It was a great value at $0.00! Some scrap wood, some blue tape & cardboard to protect my paint, and some straps I use for my bike luggage and carrying a spare helmet. When I grab the tires and shake in any direction the entire bike moves, and they held up fine on a test ride last night.

Solid, I'll be @ Ducpond sometime tomorrow too. How is that shop? I've never been but i'm in this neck of the woods for awhile.

I love Ducpond! It's a great shop.

The staff is amazing, Donnie Unger (owner) keeps the service area as an open door policy. You can walk around back, check out bikes they are working on, talk to the techs. It's really cool to get a chance to see everything from street bikes to race bikes to Desmo's in various states of service. I learn a lot every time I go!

My Dad bought his Monster 796 there earlier this year; so from a sales perspective, Chad is great to work with!

They also have a courtesy coffee area. We generally make a day of it, since it's a 2 hour ride for me. It's not unusual for us to hang out for a few hours. Winchester also has a pedestrian only section of their town with a bunch of shops and a couple little cafe type places for lunch.

I'll be there with my Dad and possibly another Duc rider at 10 am to get those Pures mounted up. Maybe we'll seeya there!

There is another shop, Battley's in Rockville,MD that is also very good, I bought my Supersport there in 2005. They have a great sales and service staff as well, figured I'd point that out as well if you are in the MD/DC/VA area and needing anything close. Though frequently the day trip of going to Ducpond to hang out wins us over.

Ill be leaving in about 10 minutes, it's about a 15 minute drive from my hotel. I'll have on a dark brown affliction type t-shirt. I'll look for the tire "rack".

Well the rack performed flawlessly! And so far I am loving my new Pures, only got about 100 miles on them though, more scrubbing to do!
