Pants recommendations?

I would like your recommendations for motorcycle pants? I don't race on the track. I am looking for a good pant to have for fun rides.

I own the Ducati Mechannica leather jacket. It has the zipper on the back to connect with the pant.

I would like to be able to have vents for hot days, yet wear on a wet, cool day and not need outer gear.

Leather or textile?

Thoughts?

I have the Joe Rocket Alter Ego Textile Pants and I like it a lot, use it all year round. I recommended it to a friend and he likes it as well.
