Good Perforated leather pants ?
Recommendations/brands? Inclined toward a more touring style but with good protection.

I actually tried the Pony on but ended up getting the:
Dainese - P. ALIEN PELLE - Motorbike - America - Inglese
However, neither Pony or Alien are perforated. I ended up getting the Alien because it was more comfortable but it's still too toasty above 90 degrees + engine heat. I heard Vanson had some perfs at one time but I don't think they make them anymore.

I wear the DAINESE "SF Perforated" Pants and just take the sliders off for street use ( since the get in the way whenwalking in tight spaces).
It is perforated through out and the stetch panels breathe as well. It is decent up to about 100 degrees here in Sacramento.
There is also the DAINESE "Delta Pro" Perforated Pants but the graphics might be a little too much for you since you indicated you wanted something touring oriented. The main differnce between this and the "SF" is the pockets and graphics. Both will zip to any Dainese or Ducati Jacket.

I think I'm going to look at those tomorrow and take the Alien back. Like you said-just leave off the sliders, what's the diff.

Or just buy a Harley and ride around with jeans, t shirt and half helmet.

When we have hot days, I wear a pair of Teknic Mercury perforated pants and jacket. The air flow through these are the best I have used.
The padding is probably not as good as the Dainese stuff, but the ventilation is better.
If you want the best protection, go for the Dainese.
If you want protection with good ventilation, go for the Teknic.
If they are still too hot for you, then wear a pair of jeans and t shirt.

I'll look into that, IN2VWS. Thanks. No jeans and Tee for me. I'll roast before I ride without proper gear.

I was going to recommend the Teknic Mercury also but IN2VWS beat me to it. We have alot of customers wearing these with all positive feedback. Good luck.

+1 or no helmet, theres not much sense in protecting something of such little value, plus the fat chick on the back will break your fall.
