What jacket do you wear?
I have some questions about a summer jacket that I’m thinking of buying. I’m tired of roasting in my butt off in black leather. My priorities for riding gear are protection and comfort. I looking at a textile AGV Laguna; does anyone have any experience with that jacket with the AGV quality, fit, performance and wear? Or do you have one that you prefer over it and why?
Thanks for your time.

Probably blasphemus but you may want to check out a BMW Boulder jacket. Extremely versatile, great armor, (not tested by me though) with a thin removable liner that is wind/waterproof. The jacket has vents and the outer layer is slightly air permeable. With a thermal liner it's good to low 40's, with a t-shirt and the liner out it's good through 90's. It's been my "all arounder" for about 4 years now, and just starting to show some wear.
The BMW logos are very inconspicuous too.

I have the Dainese Portland Textile jacket and I think it's pretty breezy. They have a newer version but I haven't tried that one yet. Knowing them, I'm sure they improved it in many ways. The fit is great as is the quality. I also have a Moto GP perforated Corkscrew jacket and when I'm moving, it's not too bad either. Regardless what I'm in, however, when I'm at a stoplight, I'm roasting. Hell, that would even be the same if I was wearing only boxers.

Leather: Dainese
Mesh: Spidi
I have two Spidis, one is more winter/spring, the other spring/summer (without the inserts it's almost see-through).

st2lemans,
Thanks for your reply; what are the models of your SPIDI jackets?

I've got a REV'IT Tornado textile, and I love it. Haven't used it with the liner in it yet, but with the liner out, you get plenty of air moving through the mesh.

A Joe Rocket - Phoenix 4.0 (Mesh Textile). It was not terrible expensive. I liked that it came in a "tall" size having extra length in the sleeves and torso.
I also have a Vanson for colder days.

Vanson Cobra Mk2....the air curtains are great, so are the arm vents.
At highway speeds, it'll keep you pretty cool and dry.
Around town, well, any black leather is gonna suck.
