Jacket and Pants don't zip together

I recently bought a Ducati "Company" women's leather jacket and I'm now looking for a pair of leather pants that will zip to it. I've looked at the "Company" pants which I naturally thought would be the perfect match, however the zips are different. The "Company" pants have a zip that goes almost all the way around but the jacket's zip is much shorter, so the pants won't zip to the jacket.

I'm a bit confused here. I would have thought that the same style jacket and pants would automatically be made to zip together.

Anyone else come across this problem? Any suggestions?

Did you buy the jacket in Sydney? Is it a 09 or is it this one (the 10 model)

The 10 pants Ducati Company Women's Leather Trousers (98953) | ducati parts, ducati clothes and ducati OEM say that they have a 360 zip. Maybe Sydney only have 09 pants.


As for how you would get a half zip and a full zip to talk to one another, I can't answer that one!!

I also can't answer as to whether a 09 zip would talk to a 10 zip, is Ducati stuff!

If you like the pants, you could have them altered to put in a matching 360 zip. I believe Venus Leather repairs, Sydney (02) 92670706 Bathurst Street could be able to help with this.

I haven't used them, but I did have my Dainese suit altered by a similar business in Melbourne and they did a fantastic job.

Thanks for all that info 748girl. Yep, I bought the jacket in Sydney, just a few months ago (about Feb) so you'd think it would have to be the 2010 model - but it definitely doesn't have a 360 zip which it should have, according to the link you gave me. Very strange. Unless they were selling old OLD stock - but I can't find any info anywhere on the web about the '09 version.

I think what I'll do is ring the importer tomorrow just to see if they can shed any light on what's going on, and then maybe I'll have to get the zip changed to fit the pants.

My leather pants and jacket did not have the same zippers when I bought them (not Ducati). The jacket had the 360 and the pants did not. The zipper on the jacket however did come with both sides, so I took them to a taylor who could sew the extra piece from the jacket into the pants. So, if the call to the shop doesn't get you anywhere, 748girl's suggestion should do the trick.
