Need help on Alpinestar jacket sizing

Looking at picking up an A-star leather stunt jacket but the problem is that none of the dealers up here will stock any leather A-star jackets so I cant get a good idea on sizing. I'm 5'7" and around 160 lbs with a medium build. My measurment around the chest at the widest point is 39" at rest and 41" at a deep breath. From what I've read a good size will be a 42 but I dont want the jacket to be too tight either. Anybody out there have any experience with how A-star jackets fit? I know I will either be ordering a 42 or a 44 but I cant just pull the trigger without more info.

I measure 43" across the chest and a Euro 54 (44 us) Alpinestars jacket fits well.
