Dainese Jacket Alterations?

I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem and how they addressed it.

I have the Ducati Corse 10 jacket by Dainese and the cuffs are huge. The rest of the jacket fits me fine (6'1" ~195#) and until a few days ago only wore shorty street gloves with it. I picked up some Alpinestars gauntlets (hoping to finally get on the track soon) and the only way I can get the jacket cuffs to go inside is to fold them up. Only a few minutes of riding they've managed to work their way out. After having a JR jacket for years that was snug around the wrists I thought it a bit odd when I got my new jacket with these huge cuffs. I mean I don't even have to unzip the lower sleeve to put it on and I wear L/XL gloves depending on brand.

So for every problem there is at least one good solution. Add another snap? Have a sliver of leather next to zipper removed? F*** it, duck it?

I'm leaning towards having a little wedge of leather removed from next to the zipper. It seems like the easiest route. I actually have a sewing machine that will sew clothing/upholstery grades of leather and it's only a couple of straight stitches per zipper. Seems like a pretty easy DIY job. If one were to to take off sewing on something designed to save your bacon, what kind of thread would one use? Kevlar?

gloves go over the sleeve when wearing gauntlet gloves. it will keep bees and rocks from going up your arm.

Precisely my dilemma. I grabbed a quick pic to detail my idea. Basically remove the area in red (imagine it's straight, sorry) then reattach the zipper and relocate the snap.

I know what you mean. I just purchased a Dainese Alien and the cuffs are huge. I believe they ate designed to work over/under gloves depending on what you want , thus the extra material. Annoying though since the folded portion when I zip them seems to sneak out of the gauntlet on my A* gloves. I'm watching for other gloves with longer gauntlets.
