Best jacket for tall and skinny people?

Hi all, new to the forum but on my 2nd duc. My first jacket was a Speed and Strength textile jacket that actually fit very well but was just a little too hot for my preferred riding conditions. It was the only jacket I found that fit me - I'm 6'2'' and 160 lbs. Also, my limbs are long and gangly, so good sizes for me always seem to be in some weird nebula between medium and large. Medium tends to fit me great all around except for the arm length - undoubtedly always too short. Large fits my arms, and usually the length of my torso, very well, but usually has a chest and arm diameter that is way too big.

My latest jacket is a size Large leather Shift, which I actually love style-wise, and seems to be fairly good quality, but the arms are actually too short. In the store they seemed a little on the short side but as I ride, and especially at 60-80 mph and in the wind, the sleeves ride-up uncomfortably. It also has the chest for a normal "Large" person, which mine does not fill well at all.

Does anyone have suggestions for this particular dilemma? I'd like to find a leather or maybe even mesh that fits me just right. I'll go back to SS if I have to but I just don't really like their jacket styles too much.

Have you looked into rs-taichi leathers? They are for the more slender built individuals. Not too sure about length but the sleeves fit very snug. And some of their jackets have multiple sizing options. Not just S,M,L. Well built jackets too. They're the only leather jackets I know that come with a CE certified back piece. sportbiketrackgear.com and cyclesector.com carries them. Good luck!

Unless you have the ability to put on about 30 pounds it sounds like you need to have one made. Plenty of custom leather suit/jacket manufactures. Bates first comes to mind, very good to work with.

Have you tried Dainese jackets? They are more of an European fit. I'm 5'11" 145lbs and a 50/40 fits me well.

Arms too short on virtually everything for me; found a jacket (Rev'it Phoenix) that fit well in the chest, shoulders and had a tailor add two inches to the sleeves. Cheaper and quicker than a full custom jacket and works well. Tall and skinny? Rev'it stuff works other than the arms being way too short; but adding length to the sleeves is a pretty easy fix.

Actually picked up a Joe Rocket mesh jacket yesterday that fits every dimension incredibly well. The Rukka and Rev!It ones looked pretty nice though, I'll have to check those out in the future.

Thanks guys.
