Pirelli Diablo Superbike Tricolore: Italian Flag Tire

I was hoping to add on the the "why does ducati insist on their flag thread" which I thought was a funny conversation in it's time, but it had unfortunately been locked: Why does Ducati insist on their flag colors?

so, new thread: here are pics of Pirelli's "tricolore" qualifying tire for Monza... this qualifies as "cool" in my book.

That qualifies as beyond cool.

It's funny that Pirelli is made in Germany though

Amazing what having good taste can do to something as simple as a tire. Compare the Tricolore stripe (which I think is nicely done) to the tires with the different colored tread pattern filled in. Nice find.

The tires we use over here I believe are made in Rome... Georgia, USA. A very good friend of mine was a top exec there (I have to be vague) and we got "specials" from the factory... in the good ol' days.
