Boots on the Ground
Hell, I have a pair of Alpine Stars boots that have lasted forever and still fit nicely. Wonderful Italian stuff.
However, i am thinking of getting a new pair and wonder what everyone thinks of the gear out there. I do a lot of touring and city riding, so comfort off the bike is also important and sporty looks or competition capability is not foremost. My present boots are black which goes with about everything.
Any suggestions?

Agreed, for mine, does it have a steel shank. I noticed the city riding reference, if you ever hit a vehicle side on your feet will get smashed, go the shanks!!!!!

I loved my Sidi's too. But, last year I gave them to my son so he could go racing and I bought a pair of Frey Daytonas. The Daytonas are even more comfortable but don't have that racing look to them. Either would be a great purchase IMHO.

I've had my Alpinestars SMX Plus boots for about 70k miles worth of riding and have worn them for over 20 hours at a time. I cannot complain at all about the quality and comfort of the boots. I recently bought some Alpinestars Super-Tech boots, but have yet to wear them. I just couldn't pass up a 2-for-1 deal back in Dec.
