Rear stand for a new Multistrada?

New guy on this forum..
I'll be getting a 2012 Pikes Peak in May/ June?, and I'm trying to figure out some stuff I should get for the garage. If I don't get a centerstand, which everyone says needs to be trimmed and rewelded ;-( which brand rear stand is best for oiling and adjusting chain, etc?
Thanks!

Not sure if it'll fit the Multi, but I bought one of these for my 748:

Ducati 1098 1198 Steetfighter S Diavel rear stand Black - eBay (item 290548309416 end time Apr-21-11 11:59:26 PDT)

WAY better than factory stand IMO. U can roll the bike to get it to where you want it to be after the rear wheel is up. Cant do that with the factory stand.

I found no problem with the stock centerstand , 2011 model , I have heard that Ducati did not change "The new Stands " at all .Don't know for sure...
You can get it trimmed for $50 ....

Just a thought the center stand is with you all the time . Pretty hard to carry around a rear stand and would look goofy too

Don't believe every thing you read ,sort it out for your own needs.
I wear a size 11 boot so maybe it is a problem for the guys with big feet ....
Think it over , maybe save a few bucks....

If you don't get a center stand, have a look at Pit Bull products as they offer stands for both front and rear.

+ 1 on the pit bull.I like the forward facing handle you can ballance the bike while lifting the rear end.I dont know how you would do it with a rear facing handle without someone holding on to the bike while you lift it.

I've got 4 pit bull stands. That's all I need to say.
