Anyone have a Suomy Ducati helmet?

I got one thrown in with my GT when I bought it on consignment a few years ago, but only recently decided to wear it because I had a brand new openface at the time. It's the black full-face that Ducati's site used to have as an accessory.

Anyway, I really like the helmet but it didn't come with a user guide. Does anyone own one of these or a similar Suomy and know how to remove the shield? Also, are the innards removable and washable? I didn't feel any velcro or snaps but thought it'd be odd not to have on a helmet with an MSRP of around $400.

My son has the Vandal Bayliss. The shield comes off super easy, don't know what model you have.

Some of the helmets do not have Velcro but do have clips that (like jacket or car interior) that require to be pulled out and should snap out. Both my Arai Rx series and my Scorpio exo 750 are like that.

My Suomy does not have a removable liner but it is probably 3-4 years old. not sure of model but it was in that price range.

That's the helmet I use. Here's a warning. The "screw" on the sides is metal and the insert is plastic. Metal into plastic threads. You better not screw it up....uh, you know what I mean. I've bought one replacement thread set.

I just spent an hour detailing two different Suomy helmets, complete with pictures and explanation of how to remove the shields when I accidently hit the close button, CAAAAARRP!!! Its late and I don't have the will to repeat it, so like someone else asked, what kind of Suomy helmet is it?

I found a sticker under the liner that says the model is a "Fazer\Gun Wind\Ventura" and was made '04. Just plain matte black with silver "Ducati" on the front and back. I saw a pic of one on eBay that looks just like it so will try and find it and post.
