The scala rider solo is simply a BT headset for a cell phone. With no mic, you'd just have speakers to listen to phone calls and VMs. I do not believe that it even does BT music. You need one of their other models, the FM (solo + FM radio), Q2 (FM radio + pillion comms + gps + MP3), or G4 (the motherlode) for the other functions.

I believe that they have an alternate mount with a wired mic instead of a boom mic. The mic piece is quite small. You could coil the wire and mic and stow it behind your cheek pad.

Have a good one.

This is the one I remember seeing:
Audio & Microphone Kit for scala rider® Teamset / Q2 / Multiset Headset (CORDED, MP3 Jack) -- Cardo Systems, Inc. Online Store

Although, they say it in not good for a solo set. Sorry.

I was also wrong about the GPS feature. They have updated the product since the last time I looked at it. I've been wanting a G4 for a long time, but the price is just too much for the amount that I'd use it.

Have a good one.
