Italian sizing
Okay so I'm trying to order some Ducati brand leather riding pants and I keep getting different answers about the US size conversion. I figured someone on here might have a definitive answer. If I wear a size 33 US what does that translate to in Italian sizing? I can wear a size 34 also, its just a little loose, which is fine because I can deal with that.

Italian sizing for pants is approx. US size + 18. I am about your size and use 52 for pants.
For jackets it's approx. US + 10. For jackets I use either 52 or 54.
So there is some variance in sizing as is usual for all clothing between manufacturers and even in different products in a manufacturer's line. I have a Dainese jacket that fits great in 52 and Ducati jacket made by Dainese that fits great in a 54
So try it on if you can.

My 44 Euro Sidi boots are a size US 54, or a US 10. But this is for boots/shoes.
I think the same is for shirts, where you take the Euro, add 10, and get the US.

+1, and here you go
http://www.ducati.ms/forums/79-acces...izing-fyi.html
You will find all the discussion on the thread above is pretty much in sync with +18 +10 rule. As stated, there is some + or - on that rule depending on the specific product. BTW if your looking at the speed track pants with the white stripe and red ducati lettering they are awesome quality.
I started with a size 54 pants because I was trying to get some extra length. I am 6'1" 190 lbs. The 54 were to big in the waist. I have size 52 now, which = 33" waist. There is adjustments on the speed pants, 33 is the middle, you could snug them up or loosen them at least a 1/2 size in either direction

I have two similar style jackets. Both are a Euro 54 but the Dainese is a tighter fit than the Alpinestars. I think you have to try anything you wear.

Im 6ft 150lbs 32" waist in US sizing and take a 48 in euro sizing for a dainese pants/jacket combo. My one piece dainese suit im a 54. My recomendation is try them on first, dont assume.

Thanks everyone. I'd love to try them on first but I'm ordering these online. It sounds like I need to go with a 52. If worse comes to worst I can send them back and get a different size.

Don't order online without trying them on first. Spend a Saturday and visit a few dealers that sell gear and try them on. It is the only way to really know.
I drove around to several dealers and tried on Vanson, Dianese, Alpinestar and a few others (joe rocket, icon...) when I was buying a 1 piecer. Like helmets, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes and the size on the item isn't much help. Shipping and restocking fees can add up if you get it wrong.
