The Transit suit is probably the best value for a Gore-tex leather suit that I have found. Rukka also makes two Gore-tex leather two-piece suits, but plan to spend about $3k, Alpinestars also has the Gore-tex leather two-piece suit option however I think the total cost was around $2k.

The Transit isnt the most attractive leather Gore-tex suit out there, I prefer the look of the Rukka's, however for the money, if you have to have leather and waterproof, then the Transit suit is the best value.

I am still looking, but do plan to buy a suit like this next year.

DanH:

Contacted Rukka (USA distributor) and below is their reply to my inquiry about the Lancelot or Merlin Gore-Tex leathers.

Hello Mark,

The Rukka leathers are not a stock item for us currently. We do however handle their textiles which are the best in the business. Let us know what capabilities you are looking for in your riding gear. The answer may lie in Rukka textiles or the leathers we offer by Vanson.
Where does one buy the Rukka Gore-Tex attire?

Here are some sites in the UK that carry them, dont know if they ship to the US or how much shipping would be: Rukka Merlin Leather Goretex Motorcycle Jacket | Buy Online at Bici.co.uk

And another site:

And another:

Check out the Apollo Gore-Tex gloves. They are nice.

Also, did you contact both of the U.S. Dealers? Maybe the other one might carry them? I believe I contacted the one in MI and he said they could get them, however he didnt sound like he wanted to hassle with it and then tried to push me to the textile gear.

Im guessing you saw the Rukka gear and had the same thoughts as I did. It does look VERY nice compared to the others...http://www.rukka.com/lfashion/rukka/...E?OpenDocument

Also, if you do end up buying any of the Rukka gear, Let me know. I will be jealous for sure, but would like to know what you think of their products.
