Bound to be cold, rain likely.

Let's hope it's not the snooze-fest that was Jerez!

agreed! feel like two out of four races so far this season have been fantastic, with the other two out of four not as much (not that i'm complaining, i'll watch any moto gp race!). do we have any indications as to whether the weather will hold up or not?

Poor Marco:surprise:

From motomaters.com

Andrea Dovizioso has topped the first session of free practice for the MotoGP class at Le Mans. The Ducati rider was quick from the start of the session, among the group of riders swapping the lead throughout, before putting in a very quick lap at the end of the session to take a quarter of a second lead over 2nd place man Marc Marquez.

Marquez got off to a tricky start, twice suffering technical problems with his Honda RC213V. In the first half of practice, he was forced to park the bike up and then push it back the wrong way down pit lane to the Repsol Honda garage. Fortunately, he did so as directed by the marshals, thereby avoiding a penalty. Marquez was soon up to speed on his second bike, ending the session in 2nd. It was not apparent what the cause of the technical problems were, but the bike spent the rest of the session in the pits. With Marquez having already lost one engine, he cannot afford to suffer a problem with another. Jorge Lorenzo took 3rd spot, but more impressive than that was the strong string of fast laps he posted, continuing his form from Jerez.

Cal Crutchlow grabbed 4th slot, putting in a quick lap at the end of the session to leapfrog to within a hundredth of a second behind Lorenzo, and ahead of Pol Espargaro on the Tech 3 Yamaha. Scott Redding impressed, running inside the top 3 at the end of the session, and finishing 6th. The Jerez test was important for Redding, giving him a chance to learn a few more key tricks to mastering the factory Honda.

Valentino Rossi ended the session 7th, steadily working on his pace, and finishing ahead of the two Ducatis of Yonny Hernandez and Andrea Iannone. Iannone's lap was especially impressive, given that he was riding in pain after dislocating his shoulder severely on Tuesday. Bradley Smith rounded out the top 10, finishing just ahead of the Suzukis.

Does anyone watch the coverage on BT Sports? Abi Griffiths' speech impediment drives me nuts! Why hire an announcer that doesn't have clear articulation? Do they think it's cute? It's wheelie wheelie annoying.

Great race, the new ducatis are getting closer, but still have a way to go, just as one would expect.
Did you see the way the bikes came out of the corner with the front wheel lifted and steering the complete opposite direction? Bad ass!

Props to crazy Joe for the tustle with MM, almost made MM highside under breaking trying to pass him, all with a hurt wing! Next race might be the first win for the '15 Duc as they actually have data from the circuit from testing. Having said that, 46 lives there, everybody else is paying rent... I think the old man might just be able to do it, but JL is showing serious speed. Awesome stuff!

after the first three races of the season, I'd really started to wonder what was wrong with Lorenzo, but it looks like he's ironed out his issues for now. I feel that when he's on, he's at that same top flight level as any of the other champions.

one thing I feel people need reminding of, is that the year marc won his first title, Lorenzo actually won more races.

While fun to watch, two bikes/riders running well for a podium/win would have been more epic (think Dovi/Rossi in Qatar... Marquez/Rossi in Termas de Rio Hondo). Iannone was riding with one shoulder and marquez with no front feel.

Lorenzo is a machine, but I hope he becomes slightly more human again. It's kinda boring having him disappear into the distance.

Ducs need better wheelie control out of the corners
