Dovizioso to Ducati
Andrea Dovizioso: A Two-Year Deal With Ducati? | MotoMatters.com | Kropotkin Thinks
Seems legit. I like Dovi, the way I see it, this is a good move for him.
1. He's now has a #1 seat at a factory
2. He won't be blamed if the bike doesn't win
3. Audi is now involved which should mean faster updates and more support
4. $$$$$$$$$
I'm actually excited to see how this pans out for next season. Let's hope Ducati can turn things around with the help of Audi, Dovi and Hayden.

Are you sure about the #1 seat?

Hey, good point your right I just assumed that. Hayden does have more time on the bike.
I guess I was leaning at Dovi having the #1 seat because he has a two year contract that says Audi will provide support. Hayden only has a one year contract with no Audi clause in it.

Hopefully it works out for him, he deserves it much more than Cal.

But you're probably right. The story sounds like Ducati is wanting someone to help developed the bike for the European riding style. And he is Italian also.

Hayden won't have Audi support? News brief... "Nice guy finishes last...again"
I'd be incredulous if I were him and they gave a new guy (who isn't a racing Demi-god) more support than me.

I guess what I said came out wrong. Especially after I read it again. Hayden will get support from Audi. It's just that he signed with no promise of anything, just a one year contract. Dovi however was promised that Audi will support the team in his contract according to the article. I only pointed it out to explain why I see Dovi as the #1 on the team.

I hope Dovi can control his "pride" after he finds himself behind Nicky and constantly picking himself up off the ground. The fist year anyway.

I agree I bet Hayden will be in the lead. At least in the Beginning of the season. Guaranteed The first time Dovi does a lap on the Desmo he'll have a lump in his throat LOL.
