As Rossi and Audi get cozy, what about Nicky?

Seems like Rossi and Audi Chairman Rupert Stadler are holding hands. Rossi has even hinted (by implication) that he has a future with Ducati. While all that is hunky-dory for the two of them, it sure seems that Nicky is going to get the high hat as a result and left without a ride for next year while Ducati is still out there luring people for his seat. Pretty sad way to treat a guy who's hung in there and worked like a trooper through all the crap, giving 100% every race, all on a clearly inferior machine.

This sums it up nicely.

Nicky is gonna get the shaft.

It sucks that he put in all that time on that shit bike and he won't be around to reap the benefits when they (audi management) finally fix it.

That said, if the panigale is a beast, I would seriously enjoy watching him kick ass in WSBK. Maybe he'd be better off there. I know I'd rather ride in WSBK, but then again I'm just a guy who rides for fun so what do I know....

Don't read too much into this, but it seems this type of treatment runs in the family. Remember brother Roger Lee's miserable 2010 season in WSBK with Pedercini Kawasaki? (See if this scenario sounds familiar) They put RL on a vastly inferior bike, with no factory support, making this poor guy scrap it out for any position besides last. And how do they reward him in 2011 for his hard work enduring all the frustration that comes with racing under those conditions? (When they get factory money for Kawasaki's second year back into WSBK) Pedercini doesn't even offer him a ride. It would appear the Dago's love giving this family the old Italian Sausage treatment for all their hard work. Va fungoulo is the reward, if your name happens to be Hayden...

What about Hayden on Cal's Tech3 bike?.. that is... if Cal takes the Ducati job.

Looks like Rossi is staying put, Nicky is out, and Cal is in at Ducati. At least thats what every media hub is now chatting.

As of right now no team in the paddock is talking to or even mentioning Hayden's name. This leads to believe he may be out of MotoGP next year. He would be crazy to go to a CRT team. WSBK may be the path?

Not to sound too much like a cynic but I bet Colin Edwards made more this year than any WSBK racer, so maybe Hayden wouldn't be crazy to become the worlds highest paid R&D racer for a CRT team, should no better offer emerge.
