motoGP Videopass

Anybody else got one of these? I just recently purchased an offseason videopass on the motoGP website and I can already say that its worth the $25 I paid. I've been watching mid-90s gp races all weekend. I just finished watching the 1996 Imola 500cc Grand Prix. Its truly amazing what those guys could do on the 500cc 2 stroke machines, especially such a unique talent as Mick Doohan. Its just so very different from the way the races are nowadays. Well worth it in my opinion.

I just purchased the full season. I am also watching the classic video's and loving it. Watched some early Rossi stuff now I think I'll watch some Doohan tonight. Got it because I wanted to watch qualifying. It's a bit pricey but I gotta say that I'm enjoying it so far and the season didn't even start yet.

That Mick Doohan is something to behold isn't he? No modern rider can hold a candle to his finesse and style on the bike. I'm sure it has a little bit to do with the power to weight ratio of the 2-strokes but its still amazing. Even back then no other rider cornered the way he did. I sure wish I would've been into GP racing back in those good ole days, and I'd give anything for them to bring back the 2-strokes, but I realize that's a lost cause.

Okay the video player on the motogp website just plain sucks. Any one else have issues with it? Whenever I pause it for more than about 5 minutes it crashes and it also spontaneously restarts from time to time.

I didn't have any problems last year but for some reason i keep running into problems. Ipad issues and home pc streaming speeds. been getting hung up alot. I understand that the older stuff insn;t exactly HD but the compression seams to be a bit off. Picture quality on the last few years of HD stuff is crystal.

I'm not a huge fan of the commentating, I really liked the BBC coverage from a couple years back ,(havent downloaded anything since i started paying for it)
all in all , worth the coin !!!

I enjoy it and buy it every year. I have a Mac Mini as a media center hooked up to my plasma TV and it looks pretty good in the 720p mode that is available for the MotoGP races
