the man's (Stoner) obviously got talent, but:

"In previous years, I would get nothing but mistrust from the media..." maybe because he was the Crash Master General on a Honda before he switched to Ducati?

"It's not true Honda spent so much money..." except that they were shut out of a World Championship with the 800 and needed to win at least one to save face.

just my take...

"As a matter of fact, Honda in 2011 didn't do much more than usual and the proof is that the 2011 bike wasn't so different from the 2010 one, except for the gearbox. Moreover, my bike remained practically the same throughout the season.
"The truth is that Honda already had a good bike even before my arrival. It just needed new strength coming from the outside, fresher strength able to make the difference without being frightened by this role."

Which everyone in racing agrees was worth .2 to .3 tenths per lap. Stoner should shut his mouth and enjoy his latest success. Rossi has 105 race wins and 9 world titles. Casey has a long way to go to match what Valentino has achieved.
