Racing a 749D

Any people out there racing CCS or similar in Thunderbike or Lightweight Superbike F40?

Want to see how competitive it is.

Erv,I raced CCS Thunder and LW F40 from almost their inception up until 3 yrs. ago in the MA/SE region with a pretty well sorted 900SS. In Thunder the Buells had a power advantage on the aircooled 2v but the reliability[at least early on] left somthing to be desired. On the longer straights like Road A,Roebling, and VIR it took some pretty agressive riding to stay in touch. I think today a sorted 4v would be a more even match.Same held true in LW F40 with the well ridden SV's being hard to run down as they have good power and handling to contend with. The good thing about both classes is most of the riders are a bit more mature than the 600 rush hour kids and aren't as prone to pull a**hole moves to gain position. Most knew what crashing felt like and were loathe to repeat it. From what I've seen, the past few years the entries are down so it might be even more like a bunch of friends beating on each other for fun.

Thanks for the insight, I'm thinking the same in terms of more mature riders hence the decision to move to Thunderbike and LW F40. Places like RR straight makes if difficult if you haven't got the power especially in a sprint race. I'm upgrading my MV F4 for unlimited Superbike but that will be the only class it will race in, the rest on the 749.
