Honda mindset
revealing interview. I like the one about Dovi "if a flower hasn't bloomed in three years..."

Thanks for the link Ducman. Very interesting to hear what Nakamoto said about Rossi and Ducati.

What can you do. Not much love around here for Honda and Stoner. Honda hired Stoner to win the last 800cc title. I say smart move and money very well spent.
Ducati paid way more to hire Rossi after all Rossi is the highest paid motorcycle racer in the world period. Ducati thought that Rossi was their fix. IF Ducati would have opened that stubborn Italian mind set and listened to their riders ( remember Stoner complaining day in and day out about zero front grip, and this year Rossi complaining about the exact same thing) they would have saved a lot of money and actually won some races.
After a year long with Rossi and piss poor results they finally make a brand new frame. Hopefully for Ducati things will get better. I can't imagine it getting any worse.

I can. I think the closed minded Ducati way has the Rossi entourage ripping their hair out, I don't think first year of 1000 will be any better. As for the interview it reveals how Honda went for straight line speed(came in handy last race) and the philosophy of get the job done or GTFO. Ferrari are having a similar season in F-1, should take the Italian press collective mind off their economy as it goes down the toilet.

I have ridden and owned a number of Hondas from 1965 on. I am not a Honda fan by any means, but they are still carrying on the tradition of the old man...innovate to dominate. they continue to make interesting products with a very high level of quality and in the motorsports area, they continue to provide a competitive product that compels their competitors to stay on their toes. Guys like Nakamoto are gems and generally not paid enough for their efforts. Yet, they are firmly dedicated to their job. Perhaps some of those so-called 1%ers should look at the performance of guys like this.

Honda's best move was signing Casey, he's already shown that he can make a bike look better than it really is. CASEY dominated the championship, not Honda. Their "mindset' doesn't really impress me...

Really? All those laps I saw with Repsol Honda riding one, two, and three was Caseys doing? Wow he is an even better rider than I thought!

Pedrosa who's been on that Honda for 6 long years has never won a Moto GP title for Honda. Stoner throws his leg over the Honda and first year out wins 10 races and the title. I'd say Stoner had some input to Honda's 2011 title. I will also add that Honda's new gearbox combined with their strait line speed helped them as well, but you still need a capable rider to ride the thing.

I know Ferrari and their boy Alonso have been getting their butts kicked these past few years by Team Vettel. I am loving it since I can't stand Alonso. For sure the Italian press is all over them.
