thanks for the post...
Is this with the new frame on the Ducati? Not bad i'd say if Rossi can stay around a second off in my book. I figured that Stoner on the Honda would be setting the pace, so it is no surprise at all to see him out in front.
I hope during the next day of so that the Ducati can stay as close.... not bad at all...

Valencia MotoGP test times - Tuesday 5pm
Following Sunday's season-ending Valencia Grand Prix an official MotoGP test session is being held at the circuit on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The test is the first time that the new 1000cc bikes from Honda, Yamaha and Ducati have been on track at the same time. Bikes from the new 'Claiming Rule Team' (CRT) category are also present.
The test also marks the public debut of a twin-spar aluminium frame - as used by the Japanese manufacturers - on a Ducati MotoGP bike.
Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo is absent due to his finger injury, while Nicky Hayden has been diagnosed with a broken wrist from Sunday's turn one fall.

PIC: Aluminium twin-spar Ducati
As rumoured, the start of the Valencia MotoGP test on Tuesday also marked the public debut of a twin-spar aluminium frame - as used by the Japanese manufacturers - on a Ducati MotoGP bike (another pic below).
Ducati claim the bike being used at this week's test is the starting point for next year's machine, suggesting significant developments are still to come for the GP12.
The Valencia test, which concludes on Wednesday evening, marks the first time that 1000cc bikes from Honda, Yamaha and Ducati have been on track at the same time.
Ducati began the season using a carbon fibre chassis, with Valentino Rossi receiving an aluminium front section at Aragon in an attempt to improve front-end feel.

Toni ELIAS LCR Honda MotoGP 1'34.680 @ Qualifying last Saturday.
Does this mean anything?

It means that SB will be in MotoGP (2012? 2013?)
And TE is headed to WSBK
Let's see- both won the Moto2 championship. But Elias spends this year at the tail end of the big boy class.
Then Bradl gets on an 800 for the first time and "out-qualifies" Elias??

So Stoner and Pedro are the only riders in the 1.32's and a full second faster than their nearest competitor being Spies on the Yamaha.
That's a pretty impressive first day for Honda.
