Hayes to replace Edwards at Valencia

Josh Hayes will replace the injured Colin Edwards at Valencia in the Tech 3 squad. It will the first time for Hayes to compete in MotoGP. I wish him all the best.

My thought exactly.

We can wish him luck, but typical raw newby story ends up in the weeds or making Elias look fast.

He might do a little better than Bostrom, but for sure he'll get lapped.
Isn't Elias moving back yet again to Moto2?

It can't hurt to have another rider on the grid that seems to genuinely enjoy the sport of motorcycle racing, even if for just one race.

^ It's actually interesting, rather having these same guys riding around and round with same results.

Hopefully he performs better than Bostrom. If I remember correctly he barely qualified for the race.

Gotta wonder how Hayes' riding style will transfer to Motogp. While he can get away with running with no traction control on his AMA bike, I don't think that's even a consideration on a Motogp bike.
