Any one here Edwards comments on motogp in malaysia?
Pre-race and Pre-tradgedy , they were asking Colin Edwards what he thought about the 1000cc formula, and he said right now he'd rather watch Moto2 cause it was more exciting and better racing.

I did see that, mostly what he was implying was about the rules in moto 2 and how there not being any factory teams equated to more people racing and a better show for the fans. That was my take anyway.

I saw that, Colin says what's on his mind. And he basically said that MotoGP sucks, and it does. You can see by his expression that he has very little passion for his sport right now. The issue is when GP goes to basic engines in tricked out frame ala' Moto 2, is that what GP racing is all about? Can it be called the pinnacle of motorcycle racing when you can buy a custom frame, throw a GSXR 1000 cc engine in it and enter it in a MotoGP race. The answer is NO. Imean I know it's not quite so simple, I'm sure that you'll need a bike that qualifies with in a certain competitive time of the top GP bikes. But GP needs to fill the grid as 15-17 race bikes doesn't cut it.
Now it becomes WSBK, which IMO is the best open class racing in the world. It's very healthly financially and fortunately owned by the same folks who own MotoGP.

^WSBK isn't open class, it's production based (thus the homologation) and IMO the pinnacle of motorcycle racing should feature the best riders. Machinery should come second.

It is. The hope is eventually the CRT bikes will add this excitement to the top level, sadly the reality is not for years if ever. There might be a race within a race commentators could focus on if the front of the pack is yet another parade.

It's only a parade if Casey wins.
If he doesn't, then it's anybodys guess.

I can't see anything changing next year, 200cc is not going to change too much, sure there is more power, but you have to have a rider ride it.
Will a 1000cc engine mask Ducati's handling problems?
I don't think so.
The cream always rises to the top, & that's why Stoner & Honda are world champions.
I do agree that Moto 2 & 125s are much more entertaining, but I think that has always been the case.
My 2 cents
