OFFICIAL: Checa staying with Althea Ducati - Ducati.ms

Althea Racing has confirmed that Carlos Checa will return to its team for the 2012 World Superbike Championship season after a last minute intervention from Ducati prevented the Spaniard from defecting to BMW.

That is great news.

NOT OFFICIAL : Until ducati themselves write it and say it w/ a press confrence its not official,this is ducati were talking about,chit happens every minute,What ever benifits them frist even if it means tradeing him out like they did w/ casey.

It is official. I asked as a sidebar to another question I Emailed to Ducati, Italy early yesterday. A woman from Ducati, Christina, stated that Checa is signed on with Althea/Ducati Corse WSBK racing team for 2012. They will be campaigning the potent 1198 Superbike. No word on whether or not the team would be changing over to the Panigale. (Love that name, makes me want to buy one on this name alone, better than calling your Ducati Belladonna, Sophia or whatever)
