Checa to BMW?

Carlos' contract is up with Ducati on Monday and according to Carlos Ducati has been not said anything regarding re-signing him for next season. Althea has also not heard anything:
Google Translate
Carlos reportedly has a big money offer from BMW Italia (Badovini's team) to ride and take the number one plate with him. Will Ducati miss out on running the number one plate next year and let Carlos go?

Since he already tested the 1199 I would say he will be resigned by Ducati

I don't think so. He did say he won't ride the 1199 if it's Ducati and BMW offered him 1Million for one season to bring the # 1 plate to them. He is not the youngest and in most cases money rules....
Ducati won't be offering him this kind of money for sure.

I thought BMW hired Melandri. You think they'll run more than two factory bikes if they bring Checa on board?

This is the BMW Italia team, not the factory team (although I have heard rumors that they could run him on the factory squad and move Haslam down).

Checa hasn't tested anything yet according to superbike planet, everything happens after the end of the season and would be contingent on a contract being in place.

Next year the BMW italia team will have the same bikes as the factory team. So pretty much there will be 4 factory BMW's and two different teams.

Here is the MCN article: Checa weighing up big money BMW deal - News | Motorcycle Sport | WSB Results | World Supersport | MCN
They are reporting the deal is worth somewhere around 700k GBP (1.1 million USD).

this, unfortunately , does not mean too much... Ducati hasn't even said that they plan on using the 1199 next year yet. It , most likely, will be used a year later... just like Ducati did with the 1098... the 999 got another year while we rode around on 1098's on the street...
