One year ago today was the last time we saw this.
Exactly one year ago today Valentino Rossi took victory in MotoGP on a Yamaha M1 in Sepang, Malaysia. As you can see he was very happy indeed since it was his first victory in 9 races. He hasn't looked anywhere close to winning a race since. When will the next one come?

Maybe they need to introduce pit stops in MotoGP so Rossi can lead for a few laps during a race?

I'd love to see him win, but I just don't think that Mercedes has it in it. The Mclarens, Ferrari's and RB's would have to be DQ'd or crash out.
Although Mercedes has been buying all available talent like crazy, maybe next year with the rule changes.
Funny, the parallels between MSC and VR this season. Neither wants to "bin it to win it", neither has anything left to prove. Both MFG have been throwing $$$ at the problems constantly.
At least MSC has not become a Reubens Barachello.
But you could draw a parallel between RB and Loris Capirossi I guess, except Reubens is healthy and crashes less.

At Ducstock rally at Barber this weekend, we got treated to the premier of the new Motogp movie "fastest". It's a great flick about Rossi. Lots of good candid stuff and plenty of racing. I really like the guy, very self-effacing on many levels, and he's a superb racer
the movie's worth seeing if you like racing.
Ewan Mcgregor narrated.
