Checa for the title in Imola
With Biaggi out it gives Carlos Checa a perfect opportunity to seal the 2011 championship at Imola this weekend. The Spaniard needs to out score Marco Melandri by 26 points.

Ironic! The xerox team should be resurected next year with Checa and Hayden. Hayden had plenty of time to do something in moto gp. It will be a good way to promote the new panigale and get him ready for the 2013 debute of that bike in WSBK. Keep Rossi for one more year if they can afford to this and hire some new talent like, Stefan Nradl or Marc Marquez.

Sorry Yabo, have you not watched anything in MotoGP this season? The Ducati is a piece of crap, so why are you calling for Nicky to leave MotoGP when he is performing on par with Rossi on the very same bike?

I know that the Ducati bike is a disaster this year, and is Rossi's firt year. Hayden has 3 years now with it. How about last year and the year before? Only 3 podiums in all 3 seasons so far. The bike wasn't that bad if Stoner had podiums in 2009 and 2010 season.

Actually, from a Ducati business and marketing standpoint, that makes perfect sense. They're gonna need all the marketing muscle they can get their hands on to promote the new "frame-less" superbike, their flagship model, if the twin-spar frame proves superior on the MotoGP bike.

Forget MotoGP, ya'll need to be a little happy for Checa. I mean nobody predicted that Ducati would be in the running for WSB in 2011 let alone have a great chance to win it!

I totally agree, I am both surprised and pleased with Ducati's results, please don't mention Moto Gp in this thread again or I may have to have a little chat with my buddy Chuck.

I would love to see Hayden in WSBK. I think he would tear those guys a new one. He has experience on that design and it is on tires that are very Ducati friendly. Hayden and Checa would be a awesome team.

Wow. Just...wow. So much hostility. Where does this come from? have you checked you blood pressure lately?
Really...deep breath...it's OK if someone dosen't agree with you on the internet. This is supposed to be a happy place.
Anyhoo...yes. Betcha (American slang for "I Believe") he'd go straight to the front and stay there. Reasons being, the Superbike, regardless of construction, won't be nearly as stiff and unforgiving as the GP bike, and the Pirelli's are greasy...right up his alley, so to speak.
