Attention all members

We have tolerated wayyyyy too much in this section, yet some members still continue to need constant moderation, warnings that go unheeded.

This section is now closed.

Maybe after a week we will open it back up.
We will see if some of you learn anything from this.

Otherwise this section will disappear.

Start a racing talk in another section, it will get deleted.

No more warnings.

No more Warnings

Guys,

I ABSOLUTELY hate having to do crap like shutting a section down.
The RR section required a lot of work for the mods and admins.
We have to rewad through page after page of Stoner vs Rossi, why the ducati sucks, all littered with name-calling, profanity induced, blatant childish behavior.

Really?

When I am posting pics of icebergs because of the hemmorhoids caused by the chapped ass I get from people going back and forth, with no real contributions to the thread, warnings going unheeded, it just gets old.

And the last week has been much nicer to mod here.

As an admin, I don't just willy nilly whip out the iron fist.

But you push me far enough, you will find Texas Justice is tough and quick.
With no discussion.

Now the one week hiatus is almost over.
And a few are gone.

Maybe now, you can conduct yourselves in an adult manner.

I don't mind spirited ribbing, and a little fun at someones expense.
Its the internet, you should have a thick skin.

But this is NOT a democracy.

This is Scott and Bills house.
Amullo, Chuck, Stryder, and the rest of the mods are our bouncers.
They got the creds in our house by showing that they are exemplary at what they do.

When their warnings go unheeded, we, the admins, don't fock around.
I carry my six shooter in my hand.

So guys, take this as the final warning.
Behave yourselves and enjoy.

Break the rules, lose the section.

No more negotiationg.

Forgive me guys, but I've got to put in my two cents. I stopped posting, contributing and participating in a well-known, very well populated RC51 forum that I was involved in starting a few years back. I acquired an '03 SP2 track-only bike back in '08 to compete in WERA heavy weight twins and started attending this forum to get insight into the world of RC's, make acquaintances, get and give feedback, ideas and information about my new bike.

At first, my experiences were very positive. It was a relatively small group and everyone's goals seemed to fit mine. There was great interaction and give and take. ALL WAS DONE IN A SPIRIT OF MUTUAL RESPECT. We weren't a bunch of old farts and it wasnt some mutual admiration society. There were disagreement, differing opinions and points of view, but it was all done in one simple context: None of us had all the answers and freely admitted that we needed outside imput.

Unfortunately our garden got invaded by some snakes. Namely folks from a rouge RC51 forum where sarcasm, disrespect and frequent off-topic threads were the norm rather than the exception. The group's name was very appropriate, to say the least. I am not a thin-skinned, feelings-on-my-sleeve guy but after putting up with far too many smart-@ss responses to sincere questions it was time for me to call it quits.

I'm writing this not to whine or wanting anyone's sympathy, but rather as a genuine appeal that this forum, a forum that I have grown to like in a short period of time, doesn't degenerate into a pack of ego-driven, loud-mouths whose primary pleasure is the sound of their own voices and whose secondary pleasure is continually pointing out how smart they are, and at the same time how ignorant everyone else is. This is a forum worth protecting. Let the jerks find another place to call home.

That's pretty much exactly what we're trying to do here: avoid the "Speedzilla" syndrome.
I read where some think this place is "over-moderated". Well...look what happens over there, and that's why we do what we do here.
