A BOMBSHELL!: Preziosi says "I wish Stoner could try the D16 /Rossi gives ultimatum
I just translated this, don't think you'll see this on the US interwebs for awhile:
Preziosi blames his old riders, Valentino says if no good progress by Valencia he's out.... shit is hitting the fan people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"The hypothesis is that the problem lies with the flexibility of the chassis, but the fault is not the choice of using CF. In any case, this is the road we took after the comments of Stoner and Melandri when they told us that the trellis wasn't stiff enough. When casey had tried the CF chassis he had gone very fast and it's only human for us to adopt a new solution when it works so well for your rider."
Filippo Preziosi says this to Gazzetta dello Sport sports newspaper, and without saying much about 2012 solutions or options, he candidly admits that he has made some mistakes on evaluating the structural rigidity of the bike, but again justifies himself saying that his riders in the testing phase had given positive feedback on the CF chassis of the GP9. Then he goes on to say...
"I would hypothetically like for Casey to try the bike to see what he would say. In any case, we are not going to try to test the 2012 chassis in a race anymore". With this incredible sentence which borders between depression and something almost desperate, the father of all the D16 ends the conversation.
Valentino Rossi on the other hand, interviewed the same day drops this bombshell: "By the Valencia test we will have to have very clear ideas on where we are heading, or despite the work we're putting into it, i'm out.!"

What a flaming jackass this guy is.
I had a feeling this problem was going to boil down to a management incompetency issue.
These guys' egos are getting in the way of shit-canning their ass-backwards experiment which hasn't worked for ANYONE. Yeah, Stoner rode it fast...but as already stated the kid had to have balls the size of watermelons to do so, and ultimately paid the price with his share of crashes (I sympathize with the poor kid).
As I've said before, this whole thing needs to get a whole lot worse so some people get fired and Ducati can start to turn things around. I've got a lot of experience working on failing projects (brought in to fix them) and the first thing we do is cut managements nuts off so we can find out what the REAL problem is from the people on the ground. Seems to me Ducati needs a bit of the same thing here because I highly doubt they lack the technical ability to dig themselves out of this hole.

Google translate came up with a less sensational version of Rossi's comment:
"To test Valencia we have a clear idea of what to do. …
” We are working, but I wait two years, then ... "

I also just translated it with google and it said Rossi will give it two years. Not sure how well the OP knows Italian.

BING's tranlation also matches Googles
"For all Valencia test we have clear ideas about what to do. We are working, but I wait two years, then..."
And the words in Italian that I can make out also say this. So to me it is a bad translation.

Seeing as Asslexio is Puerto Rican oops I mean Italian I would take his translation over google's .
Google translate is seriously only good for really rudimentary translations. Sometimes I read shit translated from Greek and I laugh.

Calex is Italian? That explains quite a bit. He too crashes Ducatis.

Alex is Italian but remember the Italian rags just basically don't let the truth get in the way of a good story What happened to Rossi going to a Gresini Honda next year for example.
