Must an ominous sign for the other riders to see Stoner come in after his first run in FP1 and tap his bike then give his team the thumbs-up.

I suspect its Motogp business as usual Tard. Baring a disaster, Stoner will probably be leading by a large margin as usual then just manage the gap for the win. (Nothing wrong with that of course) The first lap will be the risk as it always is.

I think that Spies may be improving, I hope so, to make things a little more interesting as far as the racing goes. George seems to be dropping off the pace a little lately. Hopefully he can pick it back up.

While I really want an interesting, exciting race I still just love watching these guys ride those machines they way they do and how they do it. HD TV and super slo-mo just improves the experience out of sight.

Just watching how they handle those machines is unreal. There really are no bad riders in Motogp, some are just better than the others on different machinery.

Yes, I do want Ducati to do a lot better than they have been. They do need a miracle and I want them to have it. A podium would be nice! Unlikely but nice

I have seen Motogp (and 500cc) live for the past 11 years at Phillip Island. TV does not convey what it is really like, not even close. It is incredible!!

^^^Well looks like Lorenzo found something in that session.
Both he and Stoner have very consistent race pace lapping in the low 1.34's.
Hopefully someone will be able to challenge Stoner this round. Although I won't be disappointed or surprised if no-one can.
Rossi lingered in 15th place for most of the session but pulled out a hot lap at the very end to move up a little.
I wonder if Hayden will make it past turn two for once this year?

for FP1.. them there are some fast lap times... i jus hope that some one can keep Stoner in sight and make a race out of it. Come on Ben... Would be nice to see race all the way to the checkered flag i say...

I'm more excited about WSBK this weekend. At least Ducati isn't complete embarassing shite in that series.

Ducs are only 1.5 secs off the pace...again.

We should start betting the range they'll finish behind the leaders every race.

Rossi post FP2 interview : " I don't have the feeling for the front and every time I push it's difficult because I always lose the front and I don't have enough feeling for going faster than this".
