Casey close to title
Only a few races left and general view is that Casey has the gp title .new child on the way . Looks like stoners year .
Can he develop even further and get 3 or more titles ?? I respectfully think he is only just getting started and record books will be different when he is done .
Sorry ducati did not stick with him as he may end up as greatest of all time .I was speaking to Troy bayliss earlier in the week and he agreed totally and said stoner will be a legend when he is done .

He's having a great season and it's pretty much his championship to lose, that's clear. It was pretty clear from pre-season testing on that he was the class of the field this year.
Whether he achieves "Legend" status is way too early to know. My magic 8 ball isn't telling and next year may be a whole new ballgame.

i'm not a huge Stoner fan, but I can't deny the man is crazy talented. For 3 guys all on the same bike, he is consistently head and shoulders above the other 2, so it says a good deal about him and those around him.
I'll be happy if/when he takes a second title. He's not my first choice, but there's lots of things I don't get my first choice on
That said, with 7 races left (maybe 6 1/2 depending on Japan) I don't think you can wrap it up now. It's a bad day and a DNF away from open again. Do I think that will happen? Probly not, but I don't think you can end it quite yet.

Hmmmmm......the championship is a long way from being over.
All it takes is 2 DNF's and he suddenly wont be the champion......
I do hope he does win the championship, but it isn't over yet.

If Ducati and he had stuck together, he may not have gotten a shot at the championship.
Rossi would never have gone to Ducati and proven:
1) That Stoner really could ride that POS, credit to his skills
2) Ducati GP bike really MUST be a POS
It's a win-win.
Your countryman gets a title and the machine needed to keep from holding him back.
Ducati gets a fire lit under it's butt to do something about their lousy bike.

Agreed, at least he hasn't stooped to Biaggi's level and started slapping people
