Elena Myers gets to ride the GSV-R @ Indy

Updated With Correct Autograph Signing Date: Elena Myers Will Ride Suzuki GSV-R MotoGP Racebike During Press Day At Indy News Article // RoadracingWorld.com

I thought she was going to do some test laps in Valencia last year? Anyhow, good press for Suzuki and cool to see a girl on a GP bike.

It is good for her and maybe bring some more females into the sport. What does it do for Suzuki? Their bike is still a piece of shit that ends up at the back of the field nearly every race. They seemed to have went in the tank after Schawnz retired. I don't see them in motoGP much longer. They haven't been competitive in many years.

If it doesn't crash, it beats Rossi and the Ducs...but I guess thats not saying much.

They won a title after Schwantz retired in 2000 with KR Jr. They were competitive in 2007 (Hopkins 4th, and CV 6th overall).....It went downhill once they brought in Capirossi and started cutting back their efforts.

Good for her to get to ride GP bike....however I dont see it doing much other than getting a couple headlines.

Also I think she did not get to ride it last year at Valencia because she was underage and her parents would not have been with her (something about liability).

one time ahead of Rossi is the exception.....not the norm. It has not crashed a few times and also not finished ahead of Rossi.

I will say Bautistia is more competitive on the Suzuki than Capirossi ever was.

It's sorta funny that one of her main sponsors for the longest time was "kids don't smoke", now she is ridding the "Rizla Suzuki".

No matter what, how cool is it for a teenage girl to ride a moto gp? Kudos to her, she seems like a really nice girl on top of it.

Hopefully she sticks with it. The sport needs more females other then Grid Girls(which I am not in anyway complaining about)

I think its a great opportunity for her being a woman and an American.
Good for the sport and Suzuki.
All around win, if for nothing else world wide publicity.
Good luck Elena!
