I look forward to watching it every year.....I love the night racing so I'll stay up most of the night to see the sun come up in LeMans. I saw the crash, horrifying! I tought that there's no way he's making it w/o serious injury or DOA.....you can't get a grip on the speeds until they go whizzing off the track....Waltrip had a interesting take on the prototype cars speed and downforce....yes, LeMans and the IOMTT are 2 events I would love to see in person someday!

They have to reduce closing speeds, slow down prototypes or speed up GT? That night crash that took out second Audi was just a damn shame, the Ferrari just moved over at top speed.

no
it's always been that way and the prototypes back in the day were faster, drivers need to be patient as it is a 24 hr race, McNish was at fault for his crash say what you like bad move for first hour of race

Went to LeMans way back in 1997 a buddy of mine was in the race in a GT3 Porsche so I had a crew pass and spend most the time in the Garage. Needless to say it was very cool. I miss the GT1 cars. The McLarens that year were totally sick. That V12 sound gave me wooood.
With regards to the accident it was totally McNish's fault. He was using the Ferrari as a pick and lost. He should have waited a few more seconds to make that pass. It was just stupid on his part.
