Spies looks like he will be a top rider .I hope so !!! The championship needs a us rider to step up and dominate . The Europeans need a villain to stuff with their Spanish / Italian superiority complex when it comes to bikes .

Any speculation on who would replace Pedrosa? I'd love to see them give Johnny Rea a shot at it. He may be a little inconsistent, but I think it's more the bikes fault this year than his. The CBR1000 is getting pretty old.

The only guy who can replace Pedrosa and not ride around in 15th is Marco Melandri, and I think he's got more pride than to return to MotoGP as a mere wildcard.

I'm hoping Pedro' will be fit for Assen, but if not I'm with Magoo and would like to see Rea get a crack at a GP ride.
I read somewhere that this is what HRC were contemplating for Silverstone had Rea not had a WSBK race on this weekend.

also his Yamaha contract might hold him back from that wildcard ride for Honda
I would like to see Camier have a go on a MotoGP bike.

I thought it had already been announced that Hiroshi Aoyama will be riding Dani's bike and the test rider (Kousuke Akiyoshi) will replace Aoyama at Gresini starting at Silverstone.

I am available to fill in for Dani. With a bit of luck I'd only get lapped 10 times. I'd be pissed if I got lapped 11 or more times.....or if Simo or Rossi knock me off my bike.......probably get a slap from Casey.......

Which I think means not at Silverstone but at the next one

I wonder how many times one of us mortals would get lapped in a GP race. I smell a reality show! haha
